Live in the Surrey Hills: former MoD rehab centre to launch 64 doer-upper homes for sale with stamp duty paid

Family homes ripe for a refurb have been launched at a former Ministry of Defence rehabilitation centre closely linked to the Help for Heroes charity.

Headley Court near Epsom is an 85-acre estate surrounded by green belt and the Surrey Hills.

The centre was originally established for injured Second World War aircrew.

Added in the Seventies, the 64 semi-detached freehold houses with gardens, set around a “village” green, are priced £395,000-£695,000.

The homes are plain and need upgrading but it’s a chance to get on the ladder for a good price and put your stamp on your home.

The estate boasts a listed Jacobean-style mansion and stable block, landscaped communal gardens, tennis courts and sports fields.

Nearby Leatherhead station has fast links to London.

Each house qualifies for a “permitted development” extension but the estate developer Silvertown Properties is doing the work on some homes and also paying the stamp duty.
